I’m so glad the post gave you a new piece of information to digest and process! I love when I stumble upon and learn new lessons from passages I’ve read so many times before. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thought. God bless!

  1. Love the explanation of the Roman helmet. Reminds me of how important it is to walk out our salvation with fear and trembling. We do this by renewing our minds and taking every thought captive so we only think God’s thoughts. Excellent post

Thank you Ailie! Yes, it is so important that we take every thought captive. When we don’t we open ourselves up to Satan whispering lies without our recognition. It is to be an active process. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. God bless!

  2. Wow! Thanks for the reminder to daily put on the armor of God to protect my mind against the schemes of the devil. Starting the day off with the protection of God truly does make a difference.

It really does! Since staring this series I have been more intentional about talking myself through each piece of armor as I physically get dressed. What I have noticed is that I am each day overwhelmed by the love and protection God gives us. And I have found myself to be stronger in my mind and emotions. Thank you for stopping by Erin and sharing your thoughts. God bless!

I found that idea so great, too! Our Salvation is what ultimately saves us and it is with that in mind that we are able to know Satan will never win! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. God bless!

  3. Its interesting that there was ear protection on the helmet isn’t it! So many attacks from the enemy comes through hearing & listening to things which then start to play on our minds that does not glorify God!

You’re most welcome to drop by for a cup of inspiration!

  9. Melissa,
I love the Armor of God and I have a knight in shining armor by my front door to remind me everyday of the importance of wearing my armor. The helmet is vitally important because it is a great visual to protect your physical head, and your spiritual mind. These lessons have been wonderful and I appreciate all the work you have put into these lessons.

    • Melissa

That is so neat that you have a knight next to your front door as a reminder! Thank you for your kind words and I’m glad you have found them beneficial. God bless, Sheila!

  10. Thanks for this continuing study helping to think through the pieces of armor and how we can best use them. It’s interesting to see the types of armor used at the time of Paul. Blessings to you! Thank you for sharing with us at the #LMMLinkup.

    • Melissa

I really enjoy seeing the armor of that time as well. It gives me a visual to go along with each attribute Paul described. Thank you for reading through each post along the way! God bless Gayl!

  11. Wow! Great revelation .. especially this one line… So the helmet is to help us protect our head and resist impact of Satan’s attempt to steal, kills, and destroy – our mind!

resisting our mind from the thoughts on distrust is what this Helmet of Salvation does.
